    • English Language Arts Curriculum including Reading and Writing in 90 minutes classes for 6th - 8th grade students (2 45-minutes class periods each)
    • Utilize and adapt pre existing novel-based curriculum

  • Religion- Middle school teacher

    • 6-8 grades religion (3 classes)
    • Facilitate students’ leadership of Thursday school masses
    • Assist in Coordinating Grade-Level Retreats

TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTION 

General Responsibilities: 

  • Work closely with the principal to refine an effective curriculum. 
  • Communicate student progress with school staff, families and students. 
  • Actively participate in regular conferences with parents/guardians. 
  • Actively participate in all faculty meetings, retreats and in-service days 
  • Be a visible role model for the Catholic mission of the school by emphasizing the development and education of the whole person.
  • Supervise during mornings, afternoons, and lunch/recess periods as assigned
  • Utilize restorative practices to respond to students’ needs and behaviors in a trauma-informed manner.

 Instructional Responsibilities: 

  • Foster an environment supportive of academic success, student unity, and teamwork. 
  • Implementing the curriculum based on the standards. 
  • Integrate the outdoors (Boone and Crockett, Glacier National Park, etc) and the cultural community of the Blackfeet Reservation into curriculum areas. 
  • Pursue ongoing professional education

Other Duties as Assigned, including: 

  • Participate in enrichment, service projects, athletics and school events. 
  • Oversee and coordinate extra curricular activities and supervise student activities.
  • Be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of your classroom.

TEACHER AIDE/SUBSTITUTE JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview

  • Primary duties include: 
    • Substitute as needed using provided lesson plans, activities, and resources 
    • Grades 4 - 8
    • Class sizes of 6 to 16 students
    • Supervision duties:
    • Morning duty to supervise students of mixed grades at indoor recess who have arrived early
    • Lunch and recess duty to supervise a single grade during lunch, recess, and transitions to and from class
    • Afternoon duty to supervise students as they get picked up
    • Aid teachers as needed with small groups or one-on-one student support (using provided plans, activities, and resources)
    • Attend staff meetings, professional developments, and Professional Learning Community meetings 
    • Provide support as part of a community of educators united for the holistic wellbeing of students
    • Other duties as assigned

Starting at $15.00/hour

40-50 hours per week, 9 months/year

Background check required, as well as participation in “Virtus – Protecting God’s Children” Training. Consistent work ethic, flexibility, positivity, and good communication required. AA or BA preferred, previous experience with children or in education preferred.
